Soccer Game!

Last Friday our school played three soccer games against the Oceanside SDA school. The oceanside teams arrived on our campus about 1:00 p.m. The younger Grades 1 and 2 teams played first. The second game was Grades 3-5 and the third game Grades 6-8. It was a fun and exciting afternoon.

Here is a picture of when they are playing. Notice the little boy in the middle with the ball. He is Erick, one of my first graders. He sure has good control of the ball always. He is the one that scored the goal of the game. GOOOOOOOAL!!!!!!!

Shaking hands with the Oceanside first and second graders as the game ends.

With their coach Mrs. Simmons. Mrs. Simmons is a mother of one of my second grade girls. The parents at this school sure are active.

Here is the tired and proud team after the game. Only 8 of my 16 students are on the soccer team. The rest of us where there to cheer them. WAY TO GO!!!!

Pictures of the older grades games.

Week of Devotion at Loma Linda University

This week was the North American Division Week of Devotion at the Loma Linda University Church. Pastors from the different colleges and universities churches in the US were the speakers.
Our very own Tim Mitchel, current pastor of PUC and the pastor that married us, was there as a guess speaker this week. We enjoyed hearing him when he was our pastor at the Sunnyvale church where we attended before we moved to Temecula. There was also great music all week long.

This Sabbath sermon by Karl Haffner, senior pastor of the Kettering SDA Church in Ohio, was especially good. The quote that grabbed me was "There is nothing like being treated better than what you deserve. God does that for us" I thank God for all the blessings He gives us daily.
