Our California Central Coast Anniversary Escape

We celebrated our anniversary this year with a brunch cruise at the small tourist town of Morro Rock

The Harbor Cruise ship looked very simple from the outside but inside was well decorated, the food was good and the service was great.

Notice the Morro Rock at the distance; beautiful place!

The loud Pacific Ocean waves

Notice part of Morro Rock is at the background behind me. It's huge!

We had fun at the tide pools. The crabs were the easiest to see and if we looked carefully there were a lot other creatures hidden among the rocks.

Here is Gordon, just before we got into our kayak

Above and below are two of our photos we took of our view from our kayak. There is a lot of wild life at Morro Rock. It is one of the largest birds sanctuaries of the nation.

Jalama Beach

We had a delicious dinner at the Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo. The Apple Farm is a country style Inn(hotel) with beautiful romantic garden grounds, a country store and a great restaurant. We wanted to stay here but there was no vacancy.

Mission Bells in the garden

Loved the garden of the Mission

Those are real green grapes above Gordon's head

Loved the town of San Luis Obispo. Lots of culture, shops and restaurants. They were having their annual month long Mozart Festival. We were sad that the functions that we were interested in attending were all sold out. Well, there is always next year. A reason to come back to San Luis Obistpo next July
