At Mount San Jacinto with the Lamoreauxs

Nancy, David, Gordon and I visited Mount San Jacinto State Park. Mount San Jacinto is the second highest mountain range in southern California. It stands 10,834 above sea level. It is a good place to come for a picnic, hike and backpack. There are also two camp grounds up there.
Here we are at the Mount San Jacinto sign. We were at this exact sign back in February when during a snow storm and we were freezing. We learned that we like to come here in the summer time better.

We took the Palm Springs Areak Tramway up the mountain. The weather changes drastically. It was a very hot 113F at the bottom and at the top it was a cool 76F. It was so good to be up there away from the heat:-)

Sweet Visit with College Friends

Last Tuesday old friends from Andrews University got together in Loma Linda.
Dinah and her family was visiting from Michigan where she lives. She called and organized this gathering. There were nine of us plus their immediate families.
Following are pictures of just the women taken at the beginning while the food was being prepared. Sorry, no pictures of the rest of the people since we got too busy visiting to take any more pictures.Dinah and her family was visiting from Michigan where she lives.
