Hiking the Hills of San Pasqual

One January Sunday that was not raining we went to the hills surrounding the San Pasqual Valley behind Escondido for a hike.

The hiking path we did went along hills along the San Pasqual Valley.

Gordon resting at one of the rocks along the path

It feels so good to be here! All the open space and fresh air is just perfect.

One section of the hike had a lot of cacti along the path. It was full of bunches/group of cacti like this.

See the cacti plants continuing up the hill behind Gordon.

We hiked to the top of this hill full of cacti

Here is Zulita resting among the cacti. She liked being there:-)
Very different and unique surroundings

Since the trail went along the valley mountains. There was always a view of the San Pasqual Valley. Notice the valley at the distance behind the cacti.

Some of this cactus prickly things hurt Zulita. Bad cactus:-(

The higher we hiked the larger view of the San Pasqual Valley we saw

This valley is very well used for agriculture. Beautiful valley!
